WithMe Field Guide

Profile, Preferences, and Photos

Show enough honest context for hosts, guests, and recommendations to work.

Your profile is not decoration. It is context for real-world plans.

It helps other people decide whether a WithMe feels right, and it helps WithMe recommend plans and venues that are more relevant to you.

What Your Profile Is For

Your profile gives context before someone joins a plan with you.

It may include:

  • name
  • photos
  • bio
  • interests
  • vibe or social signals
  • location context
  • preferences
  • intentions

The goal is not to perform. The goal is to be clear enough that people can make thoughtful choices.

Photos

Use photos that help someone recognize you and understand your general vibe.

Good photos are:

  • clear
  • current
  • actually you
  • appropriate for meeting people around real plans

Avoid photos that are misleading, confusing, or likely to make trust harder.

Bio and Profile Details

A good bio is specific without becoming a resume or a pitch.

Useful details might include:

  • what you like to do
  • what kind of plans you enjoy
  • what your social pace is like
  • what makes a good meetup for you

Example:

Usually happiest over coffee, neighborhood restaurants, live music, or a long walk with good conversation.

Preferences

Preferences help WithMe understand what kinds of people, plans, venues, and social contexts may fit you.

Preferences can influence recommendations and matching signals. They should not be treated as a guarantee that every visible plan will match perfectly.

If you can see a WithMe, you can usually express interest. Use your judgment to decide whether it is actually a good fit.

Your place interests can also shape For You. Keeping them current helps WithMe suggest better venues in Places you might like and better plan matches in People you might want to go with.

Location

Location helps WithMe show relevant venues and plans.

City or distance can affect discovery and recommendations, but visible plans are not supposed to prevent interest just because the person is outside a narrow boundary.

Keeping Your Profile Current

Update your profile when:

  • your photos are stale
  • your location changes
  • your preferences change
  • your bio no longer feels accurate
  • you want better recommendations

Profiles are part of trust. Keeping yours current makes the whole experience work better for hosts, guests, and recommendations.
